- Adderall in produced in two different forms
- It comes in XR (extended Released) Half of the dose gets released immediately and the other half gets released 6 hours later. (Goes through blood stream)
- And IR (immediate release) The whole dose immediately gets released
- The FDA approved Adderall XR in November 2001 for the treatment of ADHD
- Adderall was approved in 1996 by the FDA to be used to treat patients with ADHD
- Manufactured by Shire pharmaceuticals until 2007
- Then started to be produced by Teva pharmaceuticals
